# Idori

> Idori is an iOS AI interior design app. Start from a photo of your real room or exterior, then redesign it with AI while keeping control: get design directions with reasoning, change only the areas you pin, and iterate through versions you can compare and branch, until what you see matches the vision you had in mind.

Idori is built and maintained by Ess X LLC. Free to download on iOS, with Idori Pro unlocking the full studio. Privacy-first: uploaded photos and prompts are used only to complete a generation and are not retained on servers; projects and version history stay on the user's device; user content is never used to train AI models.

## What Idori does

- **AI Ideas**: for the moment a space feels off but the user can't name the fix. Idori reads and analyzes the actual room in the photo, trained on real work from professional interior designers, then proposes five distinct design directions, each with the reasoning: what to change and why it would improve the space. One tap visualizes any direction on the user's photo. Behind the simple interaction sit multiple model calls that analyze the space and ground each recommendation in it, a deliberately more expensive pipeline than a single generation.
- **Spot Edit**: precision editing built on one principle: only what you pin changes. Pin up to 4 exact spots on the image, give each a text instruction and an optional reference photo (to match a specific lamp, rug, or finish), and call out spots like @1 directly in the prompt. Everything not pinned stays exactly as it is.
- **Freeform Prompt**: describe the change in your own words and your own language. No translation to English needed; Idori reads the intent and redesigns the photo from it.
- **Curated Styles**: 30+ complete, considered looks applied in one tap, organized in four categories: Modern (Minimalist, Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern, Japandi, Contemporary, Organic Modern, Bauhaus), Classic (Traditional, French Country, Mediterranean, Art Deco, Transitional, Victorian, Neoclassical), Bold (Industrial, Bohemian, Tropical, Maximalist, Eclectic, Dark Academia, Retro '70s, Art Nouveau, Moroccan), and Cozy (Modern Farmhouse, Coastal, Rustic, Wabi-Sabi, Cottagecore, Chalet, Shabby Chic). New styles are added regularly.
- **Projects, Version History, Compare, Branch**: every room becomes a project, every result becomes a version, and everything lives in one continuous Workspace. Users can move back through versions, use Compare to slide between any two results and see exactly how the space evolved, and Branch from any earlier version to explore a new direction without losing anything. Design in Idori is a tree of possibilities, not a single irreversible path.
- **Any space**: living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, offices, nurseries, plus exteriors: patios, backyards, gardens, balconies, and whole facades.
- **Export and share**: any version exports in full quality to save, send to family or friends, or hand to a contractor or designer to make it real.

## Philosophy

Idori is built on the premise that the best AI design tool shouldn't design for you. Designing a home is a collection of personal decisions, so the goal of AI should be better decisions, not fewer decisions: help people discover what they want (AI Ideas), protect what they love (Spot Edit), and make changing your mind cheap before physical commitments make it expensive (Compare, Branch, Version History). The AI brings capability. The user keeps control.

## Pricing

Free to start on iOS. The Free plan includes Freeform Prompt redesigns, the full library of 30+ curated styles, and Compare with Version History, on a weekly credit allowance; shared exports carry a small watermark. Idori Pro unlocks AI Ideas, Spot Edit, watermark-free exports, and a larger weekly allowance. Credit top-ups are available to everyone.

## Privacy

- Uploaded photos, prompts, and spot data are used only to complete a generation request and are not retained on servers.
- Projects and Version History are stored locally on the user's device.
- User content is never used to train AI models.

## Using the results well

- Start with a clear, level, evenly lit photo that shows the room boundaries.
- State what must stay as clearly as what should change. For a furniture layout, name the pieces to keep and the walkway or focal-point problem to solve.
- Use the generated image to explore and communicate a visual direction. It is not a dimensionally accurate floor plan, construction drawing, or feasibility check.
- Measure the real space before buying furniture. For remodeling, confirm products, samples, dimensions, codes, utilities, and structural feasibility with qualified professionals.
